Standup to Hunger is a local variety show event to benefit our Backpack Program. We are seeking talents of all types: singing, dancing, comedy, magic, musical instruments, and more! This will be a family-friendly event! All ages are welcome to participate.
Event Date: Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 6PM at the Drendel Auditorium in Hickory
Audition Dates: Monday, February 16th from 6-8PM; Thursday, February 26th from 6-8PM
(If the audition dates will not work for you, please note when registering!) All auditions will be held in the Connor Life Center at First United Methodist Church in Conover.
Age Categories
Category 1: (12 yrs and younger)
Category 2: (13 yrs - 18 yrs)
Category 3: (19 yrs+)
Category 4: Groups & Duets (no age categories)
Prizes
The WINNER of each category will receive a cash prize of $250. Category winners will be determined by a panel of judges. The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a cash prize of $250. The Grand Prize Winner will be voted on by the audience!
Tickets for the event will go on sale March 16, 2026.
